2014 Holiday in the Woods
Saturday, November 1 from 4-9pm
Join us next Saturday for our 2nd Annual Holiday in the Woods Art Exhibition and Sale! We have such a great evening planned for you, you won’t want to miss it!
In celebrating our 75th anniversary, we are featuring a fashion show with costumes depicting important figures in the Loomhouse’s history. Check out our Facebook page for a little sneak peek! The fashion show kicks off the evening from 4-5pm.
A variety of artists will be on hand offering unique, locally-made items. We have everything from fiber and leather artists, handmade furniture, baskets and wreaths, handcrafted hats, embroidery and jewelry, and even books written about Louisville, by Louisvillians! You’ll find lots of amazing things to look at and buy – remember that the holidays are right around the corner and you just might find that special something for that special someone on your list!
Fill your belly and lighten your mood with food and drink from Long Shot Lobsta, Louisville Meade and Rainbow Cafe, and tap your toes to music from DJ Ethan Buckler.
Park at DeSales High School and ride the free trolley up the hill to the Little Loomhouse, where the lovely ladies from the Beechmont Bombshells will be there to greet you.
The 2014 Holiday in the Woods is a perfect way to kick-off the gift-giving season! Be sure to save the date and join at the Little Loomhouse for an evening of fun.
Check out our FaceBook Page for details throughout October!
The mission of the Little Loomhouse is to promote the Lou Tate landmark home and center for textile art and education as a cultural destination through preservation of the three historic cabins and education of textile folk art for all ages.
