Welcome to The Little Loomhouse, a fiber arts education organization supported by the Lou Tate Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Our mission is to continue the legacy of founder Lou Tate, master weaver, by ensuring the preservation of The Little Loomhouse landmark cabins and by educating students of all ages about the history of weaving and textile arts through diverse programs, residencies, and community partnerships.
COVID-19 Response
The Little Loomhouse is resuming regular operations with limited capacity, we strongly encourage reservations so we can prepare for your visit. We are making a hospitality promise to you. Social Distancing will be maintained and employees will be wearing face coverings. We are running a hepa filter in our Top House Weaving studio and we will be sanitizing all high touch and high traffic areas. We ask that if you are not feeling well please stay home. Just give us a call (502) 367-4792 and we would be happy to reschedule. If you have a gift certificate we will gladly honor its value past its expiration date. For the safety of our guests and staff, while you are here we ask that you wear a face mask in the buildings, use hand sanitizer on arrival, practice social distancing, and provide an email or phone number for contract tracing purposes. Thank you for your cooperation.
We will continue to offer free programming on our social media. Please follow us on Facebook here or on Instagram @thelittleloomhouseofficial to participate. If you’d like to purchase an item from the gift shop for pick-up, delivery, or to have an item shipped, visit our Shop & Camp/Class Sign up page.
