Welcome to The Little Loomhouse, a fiber arts education organization supported by the Lou Tate Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit.  Our mission is to continue the legacy of founder Lou Tate, master weaver, by ensuring the preservation of The Little Loomhouse landmark cabins and by educating students of all ages about the history of weaving and textile arts through diverse programs, residencies, and community partnerships.

Hours of operation

Tuesday-Friday 10am – 3pm     Saturday  11am – 4pm

For your visit to The Little Loomhouse, we recommend you wear comfortable closed-toe shoes, with a back, suitable for walking uphill over gravel surfaces. Although drop ins are welcome, parking is limited, if it is important you visit on a specific day or time, please call in advance.

Mini-Weaving Lessons are available during our open hours. The cost is $7/person for the 20 minute session. You can expect to weave a “mug rug”/coaster souvenir to take home.
