This Panel Discussion includes
Rachel Roarx -Administrative Clerk to Louisville Metro Councilwoman Nicole George, District 21, Southend resident, and a graduate of Holy Cross High School. In 2014, Roarx interned for the nonpartisan League of Women Voters and began serving as a board member for a local nonprofit named Louisville Girls Leadership at age 19. She canvassed door-to-door for State Representative Attica Scott in 2016 and became her office intern in 2017. She joined her second board position at age 20 as an At-Large Member of the Metropolitan Louisville Women’s Political Caucus. While studying Political Science and Social Change at the University of Louisville, Roarx served on Student Government as the Vice President of the College of Arts and Sciences, was a member for Pi Beta Phi Sorority, and worked third-shift at UPS as a Human Recourses Administrative Assistant as part of the Metropolitan College Program. Roarx served as the Volunteer Coordinator for Nicole George during her campaign from June 2017- November 2018 where Councilwoman George was elected with over 70% of the votes in the general election.
Nyela Jones -2018 Eastern Kentucky University Graduate in Political Science and Social Justice. Jones has worked as a Field Organizer for the Amy McGrath Congressional Campaign.
Kate Herndon -Congressional District 3 Democratic Representative, Concerned Citizen, and Certified Product Development Professional for the American Printing House for the Blind.
