Side by Side Collaborative Exhibition

Sixteen students from the School for the Blind were paired one-on-one with eight professional artists in the Louisville area to create these collaborative works of art.

Side by Side is an annual program offered by Arts for All Kentucky in partnership with The Kentucky School for the Blind, and The Little Loomhouse.

Before they partnered with a professional artist, the student artists took a series of art classes, at the Kentucky School for the Blind, taught by Tricia Hart, an Arts for All KY Teaching Artist.  Art classes are provided free of charge as is the mentoring session with the professional artist, making this program an exceptional opportunity for participants.
